How to Apply Mag Chloride Flakes in Riding Arenas
Applying End Dust™ Magnesium Chloride Flake to your riding arena is easy!
- STEP 1 – Drag or groom the surface.
- STEP 2 – Soak the surface with water.
- STEP 3 – Apply the flakes using any type of spreader used for sand, salt, or seed. When the product hits the ground you will hear a popping sound, which means the water content is perfect.
- STEP 4 – Let the surface dry and harden before use, up to 12 hours.
APPLICATION TIPS
- Amount of water required for the surface preparation will vary depending on composition of the arena base. For example, a clay base will require much less water than a sand base.
- IMPORTANT – Do NOT add more water after applying product!
COVERAGE
- Larger arenas 120′ x 50′ (6,000 square feet) will require around 40 to 50 bags for the initial treatment, while a small arena 40′ x 30′ (1,200 square feet) will need around 10 to 12 bags for the first application.
- Annual maintenance treatments will require around 25% of the initial treatment amount.
- Amount required will vary according to depth and composition of base or footing. Please contact us for more information about your specific needs.
MINIMUM ORDER
- One pallet/skid containing 50 bags/units x 45-lb/20-kg each.
- Or two totes, each weighing 2000-lb/900-kg.
